Base on a painting by Herman Henstenburgh (1667- 1726) - an 18th-century painter from the Northern Netherlands - today's new puzzle depicts various bird species by the water's edge. Henstenburgh lived in the port of Hoorn and had plenty of opportunities to study the exotic bird species that Dutch merchants brought back to the harbour from distant lands. In this painting he combined various bird species, such as the roseate spoonbill from North America and the stork found in Europe and North Africa.
