The white-footed mouse, also known as the woodmouse, is a rodent native to North America. White-footed mice reside in a wide variety of areas but tend to favor warm, dry forests or brush lands. It is timid and generally avoids humans, but they occasionally take up residence in ground-floor walls of homes. White-footed mice are omnivorous, and eat seeds and insects. White-footed mice are brown to reddish brown on top and white underneath. They have large eyes and large gray ears.
